Transportation Systems Resilience is introducing Monday January 11, 2016 as “Resilience Day”

For the 2016 TRB Annual Meeting, the new Section on Transportation Systems Resilience is introducing Monday January 11, 2016 as “Resilience Day”– a day when several resilience-related events will be featured.

In support of Resilience Day, the Transportation System Resilience Section will be holding a virtual “tabletop” exercise on Resilience/Business Continuity Leadership Characteristics. The tabletop exercise will expand the current state of knowledge regarding human factors in the resilience area and will look at the characteristics and considerations that leaders should have (or develop) to ensure quick and effective responses in highly disruptive situations. The results of the exercise will be shared with all participants and will be presented and discussed at a session during Resilience Day.
