ICS 300 Training Oahu

This course provides training on and resources for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS). This course expands upon information covered in the ICS-100 and ICS-200 courses. The course objectives are as follows: Describe how the National Incident Management System (NIMS) Command and Management component supports the management of expanding incidents; Describe the incident/event management process for supervisors and expanding incidents as prescribed by the Incident Command System (ICS); Implement the incident management process on a simulated Type 3 incident; Develop an Incident Action Plan (IAP) for a simulated incident.

Statewide Communication Interoperability Plan (SCIP) Workshop

The SCIP Workshop brings together key decision makers from all levels of government to identify and address communication interoperability gaps and facilitate the refinement of the SCIP to enhance interoperable and emergency communications within your State. Revised in 2013, the SCIP Workshop is focused on rewriting the SCIP, based on the revised structure and criteria.

  • The Seaport Security for Facility Security Officers course is for those who have overall responsibility for a single seaport security plan including all terminals within a seaport. It includes all Facility Security Officers responsible for a terminal security plan whether independent of a seaport security plan or within a broader seaport security plan.

The Port Wide Risk Management Mitigation Plan supports threat assessment, assessment of infrastructure and capabilities analysis, consequence analysis, gap assessment, assist in mitigation strategies development, mitigation strategy implementation plan development, and supports the development/implementation of a training and exercise program. The goal is to provide the Honolulu Harbor (all regulated ports) with a detailed investment profile for the next three to five years.

Coastal Community Resilience

  • Emergency Pet Shelter Volunteer Training:  There are 30 pet-friendly shelters on Oahu designed to keep families with pets together during a disaster. These shelters are operated by Hawaiian Humane Society staff and dedicated volunteers.  Sign up for  training to become an emergency pet shelter volunteer.
