Call to Action:Help Tell the Story of Emergency Management

IAEM-USA is excited to partner with Kirk Jackson of Going Home Pictures to produce a dynamic, high-quality video series showcasing the extraordinary value emergency managers and their programs bring to communities and organizations nationwide. This effort will tell our profession’s story.

In a time when budgets are tight and the future of key programs faces growing uncertainty, it’s more important than ever to highlight the critical role our profession plays before, during, and after disasters. Emergency managers have served as the linchpin for their communities – coordinating across disciplines, leading with integrity, and driving preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation efforts that save lives and strengthen resilience.

Casting Call Opportunity

IAEM is seeking emergency managers interested in participating in this initiative. They aim to focus on geographic diversity and representation of rural, suburban, and urban programs across IAEM regions.

Selection priority will be given to IAEM members, but non-members can be nominated by members for consideration.

All footage will be captured by the end of June and may be featured in the upcoming National EM Awareness Month campaign and future IAEM publications. Sensitive content will be managed with care. A standard media release will be required prior to any filming.
