New this year, IAEM student members who participate in the competitive division of the Poster Showcase can earn free registration to the 73rd Annual Conference from Nov. 14-20, 2025 in Louisville, Kentucky. The Poster Showcase is a fantastic opportunity for students, like you, to share research projects or academic findings with the emergency management community. Follow these four simple steps for Poster Showcase success: Step 1 – Review the Poster Showcase Guidance for the necessary requirements. Step 2 – Choose to enter either the competitive or non-competitive division. CompetitiveChoose a category: practitioner, academic, or student (undergraduate or graduate).Present your poster to a group of evaluators to qualify for gold, silver or bronze recognition.Receive complimentary registration to the Annual Conference.Non-Competitive No categories; participants share their research or practice with others.Receive the discounted speaker rate for the Annual Conference. Step 3 – Submit your proposal with the step-by-step instructions found in the Poster Showcase Guidance on how to log in to the speaker portal at iaem.org.   Step 4 – Reap the benefits of participation:Network with over 2,500 emergency managers from around the world.Credit towards the IAEM Certification Program under Professional Contribution Category F, Speaking.Availability of a coach to mentor you through the process. Chance to earn gold, silver or bronze recognition when participating in the competitive division.
